First Impression of Esqueleto Explosivo 2 Bonus Buy
Esqueleto Explosivo 2 Bonus Buy is the sequel to a cult-favourite slot and keeps the original’s irreverent Day of the Dead spirit while adding a modern twist: a Bonus Buy option that lets players jump straight into the action. Built around a festive, skull-themed aesthetic with a darker, humorous edge, the game catches the eye from the first spin. It balances charm and volatility, making an immediate impression on both casual players and those looking for feature-heavy sessions.
The theme mixes Day of the Dead iconography with a slightly spooky, cartoonish presentation that never feels grim; instead, it leans into personality and movement. Mechanically, the Bonus Buy feature is the headline — it’s designed for players who prefer to pay for a direct shot at the bonus round rather than waiting for it to trigger organically. For people who enjoy decisive choices and are comfortable with short-term risk for potentially big rewards, that option is a strong draw.

Game Design and Mechanics
Esqueleto Explosivo 2 Bonus Buy is from Thunderkick, a developer known for distinctive visuals and unconventional mechanics. The game carries forward the original’s cascading or “explosive” symbol removal mechanic that rewards chains of consecutive wins and keeps tension high. The design philosophy prioritises personality, readable mechanics, and fast-paced rounds rather than cluttered interfaces.
Gameplay & Features
The layout uses cascading reels where winning symbols are removed and replaced by new ones falling from above, allowing multiple wins from a single spin. The Bonus Buy option is the defining feature for many players — it provides immediate access to the bonus sequence, sidestepping base-game waits. During its core features, you’ll encounter mechanics such as multipliers and special symbol transformations that increase win potential during bonus sequences.
- Base-game cascades that generate consecutive wins.
- Bonus Buy functionality to purchase direct entry to feature rounds.
- Feature rounds with escalating multipliers and increased prize potential.
While the precise internal math and feature frequencies can vary by release and platform, the idea is straightforward: build chains, trigger the bonus, and capitalise on multiplier growth. The Bonus Buy trades patience for immediate excitement, so expect bigger swings when you use it.
Graphics & Sound
Visually, the game is polished and expressive. Thunderkick leans into colourful, stylised artwork rather than photorealism, which works well for this theme. Animations are snappy and the cascading symbol removal is accompanied by satisfying visual feedback that clarifies wins and progression. The soundtrack combines festive percussion with darker undertones to reinforce the Day of the Dead atmosphere without becoming intrusive.
Sound effects are functional and tuned to enhance the gameplay loop — successful cascades and multiplier steps come with distinct cues that help players track momentum, which is especially useful during feature rounds when screen movement can be intense.
RTP, Volatility & Betting Options
The published RTP for this release is 96%, which sits comfortably within common industry standards. Volatility in Esqueleto Explosivo 2 Bonus Buy leans toward the higher side because of the Bonus Buy and multiplier-driven mechanics; that means wins can be less frequent but potentially larger when features align. The Bonus Buy amplifies this behaviour because it concentrates more volatility into single sessions.
Betting options typically accommodate both casual players and higher-stakes sessions, with adjustable stake sizes that let you play conservatively or scale up when chasing the bonus. Because staking structures can vary by operator, check the casino’s bet limits before playing Bonus Buy if budget control is important to you.
Demo Mode and Free Play
Most reputable casinos and Thunderkick’s demo environments offer a free-play version of Esqueleto Explosivo 2 Bonus Buy, which is ideal for getting a feel for cascading mechanics and the pacing of multipliers without risking real money. Note that Bonus Buy is sometimes disabled in demo mode at some operators, so you may need a real-money account to test that specific option.
Mobile Experience
The slot is optimised for mobile devices and runs smoothly on modern phones and tablets. The clear iconography and responsive layout translate well to smaller screens, and touch controls remain intuitive. Load times are reasonable, and the animated cascades maintain clarity even on compact displays.
